The healthcare technology startup, known for its AI-driven RCM platform, has tripled its valuation in a year and is poised to disrupt the $280 billion industry.
Candid Health, a leading provider of AI-powered revenue cycle management (RCM) solutions, has secured $120 million in a Series D funding round. The investment, led by Sixth Street Growth with participation from Oak HC/FT, 8VC, and Y Combinator, triples the company’s valuation compared to its Series C fundraise last year. This brings Candid’s total raised capital to over $219 million.
The company has reported impressive growth metrics, including a 190% year-over-year increase in annual contracted run-rate revenue and an 180% year-over-year net dollar retention rate in 2025. These figures underscore the market's growing demand for efficient RCM solutions that leverage advanced AI and automation.
Candid Health’s platform is designed to streamline medical billing and claims processing, addressing inefficiencies and waste in a sector estimated to spend $280 billion annually on RCM processes. By unifying clinical, billing, and provider data into a single model, the company aims to reduce the cost of collection and enhance net collection rates.
Founded in 2019 by Nick Perry and Doug Proctor, who previously worked together at Palantir, Candid Health has quickly established itself as a leader in AI-driven RCM. The platform's configurable rules engine and AI agents automate tasks that were traditionally handled manually, significantly reducing the time and resources required for billing processes.
Candid’s technology is now used by over 200 healthcare organizations, including digital health startups, large national management services organizations, and electronic medical record (EMR) companies. The company processes approximately $7 billion in claim volume annually, demonstrating its capability to handle complex and high-volume transactions.

The investment round will be used to further develop the platform's AI capabilities, expand the sales and marketing team, and enhance customer support. With a growing number of healthcare providers seeking to optimize their financial operations, Candid is well-positioned to capture a larger share of the market.
The surge in venture capital funding for AI-powered RCM startups highlights the sector’s potential for significant returns. Candid Health's tripled valuation and robust growth metrics make it an attractive investment opportunity for both new and existing investors.
As healthcare organizations continue to face financial pressures, the demand for efficient and cost-effective solutions will only increase. Candid’s ability to reduce operational costs while improving revenue collection rates positions it as a key player in the industry. Investors should watch for further advancements in AI technology and the company's expansion into new markets.
The successful funding round also signals a broader trend of technological innovation in healthcare, driven by the need for more efficient and patient-centered care. With continued investment and development, Candid Health is poised to play a crucial role in transforming the RCM landscape.
