NVIDIA and AWS are teaming up to revolutionize cloud AI with NVLink Fusion, integrating NVIDIA's high-speed interconnects with AWS's latest silicon to streamline complex AI model training.
At this year’s AWS re:Invent, NVIDIA and Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced a significant expansion of their strategic collaboration. This partnership introduces new technology integrations across interconnects, cloud infrastructure, open models, and physical AI. The highlight is the integration of NVIDIA NVLink Fusion with AWS's custom silicon, including the upcoming Trainium4 chips.
NVIDIA NVLink Fusion is a platform designed to simplify the deployment of custom AI infrastructure. It combines NVIDIA’s NVLink scale-up interconnect technology with the NVIDIA MGX rack architecture. This integration will enable AWS to enhance performance and accelerate the time-to-market for its next-generation cloud-scale AI capabilities.

The integration of NVIDIA NVLink Fusion into AWS’s ecosystem has several practical implications:
Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA, emphasized the importance of this collaboration:
“GPU compute demand is skyrocketing, more compute makes smarter AI, smarter AI drives broader use and broader use creates demand for even more compute. The virtuous cycle of AI has arrived. With NVIDIA NVLink Fusion coming to AWS Trainium4, we’re unifying our scale-up architecture with AWS’s custom silicon to build a new generation of accelerated platforms. Together, NVIDIA and AWS are creating the compute fabric for the AI industrial revolution, bringing advanced AI to every company, in every country, and accelerating the world’s path to intelligence.”
Matt Garman, CEO of AWS, added:
“AWS and NVIDIA have worked side by side for more than 15 years, and today marks a new milestone in that journey. With NVIDIA, we’re advancing our large-scale AI infrastructure to deliver customers the highest performance, efficiency, and scalability. The upcoming support of NVIDIA NVLink Fusion in AWS Trainium4, Graviton, and the Nitro System will bring new capabilities to customers so they can innovate faster than ever before.”
The expanded collaboration between NVIDIA and AWS represents a significant step forward in cloud AI infrastructure. By integrating NVLink Fusion with AWS’s custom silicon, both companies are setting the stage for more efficient, scalable, and accessible AI solutions. This partnership not only benefits large enterprises but also opens up new possibilities for smaller organizations looking to leverage advanced AI technologies.
