Anthropic Labs introduces Claude Design, allowing users to collaborate with Claude for creating visual content like designs and prototypes. Powered by Claude Opus 4.7, this tool aims to overcome time limitations in the design process, enhancing creative exploration and collaboration.
Today, Anthropic Labs is launching Claude Design, a powerful new tool that enables users to collaborate with Claude to create polished visual work such as designs, prototypes, slides, one-pagers, and more. This product is powered by the latest version of Claude's vision model, Claude Opus 4.7, and is available in research preview for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and Enterprise subscribers.
Claude Design addresses a common pain point in the design process: the limitation on exploration due to time constraints. Experienced designers often have to limit their prototyping efforts to just a few directions because they can’t afford to explore every possible idea. For non-designers, such as founders, product managers, and marketers, creating and sharing visual ideas can be daunting without a design background.
Claude Design bridges this gap by providing a platform where you can describe your needs in natural language, and Claude will generate the initial designs. This allows for more extensive exploration of different directions and ensures that even non-designers can produce high-quality visual work. Additionally, Claude can apply your team’s design system automatically, ensuring consistency across all projects.
Claude Design follows a natural creative flow that integrates seamlessly into your existing workflow:

Teams have already been using Claude Design in various ways:
Claude Design is a significant step forward in collaborative visual work. By leveraging Claude’s advanced capabilities and integrating seamlessly with your team’s design system, it empowers both experienced designers and non-designers to produce high-quality visual content efficiently. If you’re a Claude Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise subscriber, keep an eye out for the gradual rollout of this exciting new feature.

About the author
Kai built ML infrastructure at a Bay Area startup before developing an obsession with transformer architectures and inference optimisation that eventually pulled him out of product work entirely. A stint at a compute research lab sharpened his instinct for what actually matters in a model release versus what is marketing. He writes from the inside — from the perspective of someone who has debugged the systems he is describing at three in the morning. He is allergic to hype and instinctively drawn to the unglamorous plumbing questions that everyone else skips over.
