As Microsoft opens Copilot+ access beyond Qualcomm, Intel and AMD are set to integrate advanced AI features in November, pushing the boundaries of what consumer PCs can do with powerful new processors.
Microsoft's exclusivity period for Copilot+ PCs, initially limited to Qualcomm, is coming to an end. The company has confirmed that both Intel’s new 200V processors and AMD’s Ryzen AI 300 series chips will support Copilot+ AI capabilities starting in November. This expansion marks a significant step forward for AI integration in consumer-grade laptops and desktops.

The introduction of these new processors and their AI capabilities brings several benefits:

For gamers, the Auto Super Resolution feature stands out. This technology, similar to NVIDIA’s DLSS, upscales graphical resolution and refresh rates in real time without compromising performance. It leverages AI to enhance visual fidelity and smoothness, making it a significant advancement for gaming PCs.
Microsoft also plans to roll out the Recall feature, which provides a searchable timeline of PC activity. Initially delayed due to security concerns, the revised version will start rolling out to beta testers in October. This feature aims to address Windows' long-standing issue with broken search functionality by providing a comprehensive and secure history of user activities.
